# Release notes

Every change to A8 and its interfaces, newest first, each with the page that describes it.

Each entry states one change as the fact it makes true, then links the page that owns it. Entries run newest first, one section per year.

## How an entry reads

An entry has a date heading, a type and the interfaces or models it affects, then one to three sentences in the present tense:

| Part    | Form                                                                           |
| ------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |
| Date    | `YYYY-MM-DD`, as the entry’s heading                                           |
| Type    | Feature, Change, Fix or Deprecation                                            |
| Affects | The interfaces or models the entry concerns                                    |
| Body    | One to three sentences that state the new fact, then a link to the owning page |

**Feature** · Chat Completions, Responses, Anthropic Messages, MCP · `a8-1`

A8 is available in preview. It serves the OpenAI Chat Completions and Responses APIs, the Anthropic Messages API and the Model Context Protocol (MCP); a request sets its minimum accuracy in the model’s tag and turns reasoning on or off with each interface’s own switch. You teach and retract examples from any MCP host, and a verdict cites its precedents on request.
